Annabelle and Denis were married in April 1951. For Christmas that year, Annabelle, in the early weeks of pregnancy, received a diary from Denis, in which to record the events of 1952.

Over 60 years later, I found the diary in a box of dusty old books at a car-boot sale.

It's reproduced here, day by day, in real time.
